Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!!!

Welcome to Kotora Blue and my world! Or I should say, the Second Life (SL) world. If you've never heard of it, I invite you to come explore it here at the Second Life Website. Second Life is a virtual world shared by thousands of people with a wonderful community and with many, many things to do. As Morpheus (sort of) said in the Matrix, "No one can be told what (Second Life) is. You have to see it for yourself."

If you're still reading this bloggy and not scratching your head, I'm assuming that your already a resident of SL. If that's the case (and even if it's not) I want to thank you for reading and checking out my blog. Kotora Blue is a little shop in Bound Lotus that specializes in smexy cute, fun clothing, jewelry, weaponry, Japanese-themed gear and ehm...*coughs* scripted (BDSM) collars.

Although I'm not new to blogging (somewhat), being a storekeeper in Second Life is a little like jumping down the rabbit hole. -And believe me, SL is just as crazy! Well crazy positive in a fun, horribly addicting way.

I guess first thing is to introduce myself. My name is Blue! ^.^ It's really nice to meet you. I've been an SL resident for over a year now, and it is a very fun hobby and a rewarding experience. My "thing" that I love to do on SL is to build. It used to be (and sometimes still is) roleplaying, which I do in another sim (and blog) called Feudal Nippon. Here though is a blog about my shop and the adventures I've gone through in getting it started and maintained.

Every builder needs a scripter, and fortunately, I've got one of the very best. Hideyoshi Yoshikawa is not only awesome at scripting, but he is also my best friend and does the R&D for the Samurai Tiger side of Kotora Blue. I'll write more on Samurai Tiger later, but in a nutshell, ST is the weapons side of what we do. ^.^

I also work with, I'd almost say, my business consultant/entrepreneurial friend, consulting buddy and much more, Ian Adored. He has a knack for what needs to be done when it comes to setting up contests, generating traffic, or writing a description. Ian is always full of awesome ideas, and is an extra set of hands for the things we do.

Persika Darkmatter is my "quality control" expert, photographer, model and dear friend. When I finish a product, I send it her way so she can take the pictures and check that the layers and prims were all made and packaged correctly. She's also great at telling me how to lay out an advertisement, work on background, etc etc.

Although not part of the Kotora staff, but very much part of Kotora Blue's existence, Miko Chun is my partner in crime. She's the one that whispers in my ear "Do it! Do it!" and gave me the space (her Bound Lotus sim) and help to make this dream a reality. Paired with her awesome partner Mee Horees, (M&M) I owe a whole lot to this dynamic duo and am always trying to do things to help both my shop and the sim grow and thrive.

Well, there you have it! The backbone of my shop. Without any of these essential people, Kotora would not be the wonderful success that it is.

What's more, it's ALL HANDS ON DECK as we prepare for Kotora Blue's Main Store Grand Opening this Saturday, May 1. It'll be a fun little party *bites nails* to celebrate the culmination of hard work (blood, sweat, and hours and hours and hours), amazing friends, cooperative efforts, and a fishing fetish to boot! -I put that last blurp in there because of Miko.

This blog marks only the beginning of some wonderful things to come. I hope you'll stay with me and enjoy the ride. ^.^
